Lake O’Hara is one of the most sought-after locations in the Rockies and one of the most difficult to get into.
Simply put It’s a hiker’s paradise.  It’s best to go with a guide!

Whether you are new, or experienced, with it’s diverse trail system Lake O’Hara has a trail for you. It’s situated in a high alpine environment complete with beautiful wildflowers, wildlife, glaciers, lakes and more.

Lake O’Hara is a challenging area to hike, there are no flat or easy trails, for this reason you need to be moderately fit to enjoy your time here.  There are moderate hikes that take you up 250 m or 800 ft and Alpine Circuits that go up 500m or 1700 ft+.  There is something for everyone.

What You Need To Know

Season: July 1 – September 30, 2025.
The guide quota opens up April 1, please contact us early to have the best chance at your preferred dates.

Maximum of 12 people. Children are welcome.

All participants are required to sign a waiver releasing Forest Fix from liability before the trip begins.

We do not provide transportation, you will need a vehicle or you might want to use the local shuttle systems.

Lake Louise is 45 minutes from Banff and 2 hours from Calgary, Lake O’Hara is 10 minutes west of Lake Louise
